These Driver Terms & Conditions apply to all drivers, operators, chauffeurs, subcontractors, and transport providers accepting bookings from MR Transfers. By accepting any booking from MR Transfers, the driver confirms acceptance of these terms and agrees to comply with all company policies, service standards, and legal requirements.
1. Driver Responsibilities
All drivers must provide a professional, safe, reliable, and punctual service at all times.
Drivers are responsible for:
- Arriving on time for all bookings.
- Operating a roadworthy, legally compliant, insured, and licensed vehicle.
- Maintaining professional conduct with passengers.
- Following all MR Transfers booking instructions.
- Complying with all UK transport laws and regulations.
- Ensuring passenger safety throughout the journey.
2. Booking Acceptance
Once a booking has been accepted by the driver, it becomes a contractual commitment.
Drivers must:
- Review all booking details carefully.
- Ensure they have sufficient time and resources to complete the journey.
- Confirm any special requirements before the journey date.
Failure to fulfil an accepted booking may result in penalties, suspension, or permanent removal from the MR Transfers driver network.
3. Job Returns & Cancellations by Drivers
Drivers must not return, reject, or cancel an accepted booking within 2 hours of the scheduled pickup time.
Bookings may only be returned in exceptional circumstances, including:
- Vehicle breakdown.
- Medical emergency.
- Serious accident.
- Family emergency.
- Other genuine circumstances approved by MR Transfers.
Returning a booking without a valid reason may result in:
- Financial penalties.
- Reduced booking allocations.
- Suspension of account.
- Permanent removal from the MR Transfers platform.
4. Airport Meet & Greet Procedures
Where a booking includes a Meet & Greet service:
International Arrivals
Drivers must enter the arrivals hall approximately 30 minutes after the flight has landed, unless otherwise instructed by MR Transfers.
Domestic Arrivals
Drivers should enter arrivals approximately 20 minutes after landing.
Drivers must:
- Monitor flight status.
- Carry a clearly visible passenger name board when requested.
- Remain professional and courteous.
- Assist passengers with luggage where appropriate.
Failure to provide the booked Meet & Greet service may result in payment deductions and customer compensation charges.
5. Passenger Contact Requirements
Drivers must contact passengers sufficiently before the pickup time.
The driver must:
- Introduce themselves.
- Confirm vehicle details.
- Confirm pickup location.
- Provide estimated arrival time where necessary.
- Inform the passenger of any delays immediately.
For airport pickups, drivers must send a message or call once they are in position and ready for collection.
Failure to establish reasonable contact with passengers may result in complaints being upheld against the driver.
6. Child Seats & Special Requirements
Where a booking includes:
- Child seat(s)
- Booster seat(s)
- Additional luggage requirements
- Wheelchair assistance
- Any other special request
The driver is fully responsible for ensuring these requirements are provided.
Child Seat Failure
Failure to provide a booked child seat may result in:
- Immediate passenger compensation.
- Up to 30% deduction from the driver fare.
- Additional penalties where applicable.
Repeated failures may result in suspension from receiving future bookings.
7. Driver No-Show Policy
A driver no-show is considered a serious breach of contract.
A no-show includes:
- Failure to attend the pickup.
- Failure to make reasonable contact with the passenger.
- Abandoning a booking without approval.
- Arriving so late that the booking cannot be completed.
Penalty
Where a driver is found responsible for a no-show:
The driver shall be liable for:
- 100% of the booking fare, and
- Any additional costs incurred by MR Transfers, including replacement vehicle costs, customer compensation, and lost commission.
Serious no-show incidents may result in immediate termination from the MR Transfers driver network.
8. Vehicle Standards
All vehicles used for MR Transfers bookings must be:
- Clean inside and outside.
- Free from unpleasant odours.
- Well maintained.
- Fully licensed where required.
- Insured for hire and reward purposes.
- Safe and roadworthy.
Drivers must ensure:
- Working air conditioning/heating.
- Functioning seatbelts.
- Adequate luggage space.
- Clean passenger seating areas.
MR Transfers reserves the right to request vehicle photographs at any time.
9. Driver Appearance & Conduct
Drivers must maintain a professional appearance.
Drivers must not wear:
- Dirty or offensive clothing.
- Clothing displaying inappropriate slogans.
- Clothing that may negatively impact the company image.
Personal hygiene must be maintained at all times.
10. Mobile Phone Usage
Drivers must not:
- Hold or use a mobile phone while driving.
- Engage in personal phone conversations while transporting passengers.
Hands-free communication should only be used where legally permitted and when absolutely necessary.
Passenger safety must always take priority.
11. Music, Smoking & Passenger Comfort
Drivers must:
- Keep music off or at a very low volume unless requested by the passenger.
- Respect passenger preferences regarding temperature and comfort.
- Maintain a quiet and professional environment.
Smoking or vaping inside the vehicle at any time is strictly prohibited.
Drivers must never smoke or vape while passengers are entering, exiting, or travelling in the vehicle.
12. Safe Driving Standards
Drivers must:
- Obey all traffic laws.
- Drive safely and courteously.
- Avoid harsh braking and aggressive driving.
- Avoid speeding.
- Ensure passengers wear seatbelts where legally required.
Any driving complaint supported by evidence may result in disciplinary action.
13. Passenger Complaints
Where a complaint is received:
MR Transfers reserves the right to:
- Investigate the matter fully.
- Request statements and evidence from the driver.
- Contact the passenger for additional information.
Payment Hold
If a complaint is under investigation:
MR Transfers may withhold payment until the matter has been resolved.
Penalties
Where a complaint is upheld, MR Transfers may:
- Apply fare deductions.
- Recover compensation paid to passengers.
- Suspend future bookings.
- Remove the driver from the platform.
The level of penalty will depend on the severity and frequency of the issue.
14. Accidents, Breakdowns & Emergencies
Drivers must immediately notify MR Transfers if:
- A breakdown occurs.
- An accident occurs.
- A significant delay is expected.
- The booking cannot be completed.
Failure to notify MR Transfers promptly may result in financial liability for any resulting customer losses.
15. Passenger Property
Drivers must make reasonable efforts to safeguard passenger property.
Any lost property found must:
- Be reported to MR Transfers within 24 hours.
- Be stored securely.
- Be returned promptly when requested.
Drivers must never dispose of or retain passenger belongings.
16. Fraudulent Activity
Drivers must not:
- Falsify pickup or drop-off times.
- Claim waiting charges not incurred.
- Submit false expenses.
- Misrepresent vehicle details.
- Mislead passengers regarding booking arrangements.
Any fraudulent activity may result in immediate termination and legal action.
17. Direct Booking & Client Solicitation
Drivers must not directly approach, solicit, encourage, or accept future bookings from MR Transfers customers outside of the MR Transfers platform. Any attempt to bypass MR Transfers, exchange personal business details for future direct bookings, or divert customers away from the company may result in:
- Immediate termination from the MR Transfers network.
- Forfeiture of outstanding payments.
- Recovery of losses incurred by MR Transfers.
- Permanent exclusion from future work opportunities.
18. Confidentiality
Drivers must keep all passenger information confidential.
Passenger details must not be:
- Shared with third parties.
- Used for personal marketing.
- Stored beyond operational requirements.
Drivers must comply with applicable UK data protection legislation.
19. Payment Deductions
MR Transfers reserves the right to apply deductions where losses occur due to driver fault, including but not limited to:
- No-shows.
- Child seat failures.
- Customer compensation payments.
- Missed flights caused by driver negligence.
- Unauthorised booking cancellations.
- Vehicle cleanliness issues.
- Complaint-related compensation.
Evidence will be reviewed before any deduction is applied.
20. Suspension & Termination
MR Transfers reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove any driver who:
- Repeatedly breaches these terms.
- Receives excessive customer complaints.
- Engages in misconduct.
- Fails compliance checks.
- Damages the reputation of MR Transfers.
Suspension or termination may occur without notice where serious misconduct is identified.
21. Company Decision
MR Transfers reserves the right to investigate any incident, complaint, dispute, or service failure.
The company’s decision regarding penalties, compensation, booking allocations, and continued driver participation shall be final, acting reasonably and based on available evidence.
Driver Declaration
By accepting and undertaking bookings from MR Transfers, the driver confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Driver Terms & Conditions and all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
